The Challenge
Snapdragon challenged us to create a B2B campaign that wasn't the normal boring B2B work they've seen before. We discovered a massive opportunity that opened the door or Snapdragon to jab Intel. In our research it was revealed that, while unplugged, Intel only performs at 55%. Snapdragon doesn't lose performance when unplugged. This MASSIVE competitive advantage.
The Solution
I storyboarded and directed three video spots, photoshoots, and a digital campaign that made headlines. We created long-form content, animations, and more to help Snapdragon's sales team sway ITDMS.
Let's Give 55%
No coach ever gave a halftime speech asking players to give their best 55%. Napolean certainly never asked for 55% from his soldiers. But that's exactly what Intel is doing. So we created fun recreations of exactly those moments. We took iconic scenes from movies and put a Snapdragon spin on them. The leaders ask for 55% with their whole chest, but the confused reactions from their audience makes the spot a joy to watch.
Office Tripped
When your PCs operate at 55%, your whole office does. What if other parts of your office worked at 55%? What if the elevator only reached halfway up the floor? What if conference tables suddenly cut in half when Greg unplugged his laptop? We did exactly that. We cut all sorts of props in half and conducted a few stunts to create a hilarious spot.
What's The Intel
ITDMs want the facts. So for our lower-funnel spot, we wanted to create something that was straight to the point. So we put Intel and Snapdragon side by side to compare them. We went straight for the jugular here and this video ended up with MILLIONS of views.
Photoshoots
Snapdragon needed a whole new library of imagery to assist their Compute and Consumer teams. Plus, the campaign needed still photography for ad placements. I concepted and directed the photoshoots for all. We had only 5 days to conduct an extensive library shoot at multiple locations for many verticals. And while on set for the video spots, we only had minutes to capture the stills we needed between scenes.
